Respekt und Anerkennung für die vielseitigen Weiterentwicklungen von Discuto! Aber wenn das Ganze epochalen Erfolg haben soll, müsst ihr noch eine fatale Selbstbeschränkung überwinden!!! Es wollen (oder sollen) doch Leute aus verschiedenen Fachgebieten und mit unterschiedlichen Niveaus zusammenfinden. Wenn dann jede Bewertung auf JA/NEIN oder schwarz/weiß beschränkt ist, dann wird doch jegliches "zueinander finden" gestört oder sogar ausgeschlossen!?! Es tut mir sehr leid. Und ich weiß, dass dazu die Datenstruktur angefasst werden muss. Aber wenn die vielen schönen Features von Discuto ihren eigentlichen Wert entfalten sollen, wird das nur mit einer "bedingten" Bewertung möglich sein, also mit den zusätzlichen Stufen: - "JA - allerdings" - "NEIN - immerhin" Gewiss sind unendlich viele Aspekte denkbar, was man als Teilnehmer "ALLERDINGS anders formulieren würde", oder "IMMERHIN noch positiv in Betracht ziehen würde". Das kann und soll dann als Kommentar gepostet werden - vorzugswese zielführend für das Ergebnisdokument!

Ich finde diese "Demo Discussion" schon sehr beachtenswert. Hier schon eine "mature discussion" zu finden, wäre natürlich toll- ist aber wohl einfach zu viel verlangt...
Im Prinzip: JA! ABER: "satisfy" verlangt: 1. Was sind Missverständnisse, die geklärt werden können? 2. Was sind Probleme, die gelöst werden können? 3. Was sind akut unlösbare Probleme, die für die Betroffenen wenigstens "erträglich" gemacht werden sollten ...
Im Prinzip: JA! ABER: "Consensus" muss dann auch Verständigung darüber einschließen, in welchen Punkten die Teilnehmer teilweise oder sogar völlig gegensätzlicher Meinung sind...

Trying to find a mature discussion here to get an idea of the possibilities, but this discussion seems virtually empty. :(
The new technologies and ways of life can’t be ignored. The citizens have to be part of the decision-making processes to provide the decisions that fit best to our society.
The challenge is to make a balanced decision which should satisfy many different stakeholders.
Both groups, the next generation and the current decision-makers, must be open to see each others unique values they can bring to the table. The next generation can bring in new ideas for solutions that meet their future demands. Current decision-makers have expertise and experience from the past that we can learn from. By combining both, we can develop more viable and robust solutions I believe.
How do you think the next generation and the current decision-makers can work better together?
The key is to tell people why the should participate, why it’s important. Make them understand why they should spend their time on your discussion. And you need to spread the word. Use your network, share it on social media. Ask people to share your discussion.
Yes, when you collected enough diverse ideas as a basis for the further discussion it’s important to stay focused, but at the beginning it can’t be enough creativity.
That’s true, but if you only include the people it affects, the final decision just made won’t be that good.
That sounds easy, but sometimes it really isn’t easy to get these experts for your decision-making process.
I agree, but especially when it comes to complex topics, the “normal” person doesn’t know everything. Experts are an important part of the decision-making process.

If you have these different ideas, it’s also important to listen to and respect each of them. Otherwise they are worthless.
To meet the demand of the next generation is a very important goal, but it often isn’t the priority for the ones who make the decisions.

First, our team was hesitant to use an online platform to discuss our annual strategy with the public. We thought it will take much time for us to understand how the software works. And we were afraid nobody will participate. Luckily, we were wrong in both!
That may be true, but too much creativity in the process can sometimes become an obstacle. I think it’s important to stay focused so you don’t lose track of the goals you want to achieve.

Very important point! I guess, many people don’t try to think in a different way. In many decision-making processes the opportunity to reach an unexpected solution doesn’t even exist because the decision-makers all share similar backgrounds or skills.
Sometimes it’s also good to involve people who weren’t part of the decision-making process before. I experienced that these people often bring the most creativity into the discussion.
Technology also helps to process the input coming in. We used to discuss our strategies in a Word-Document and via email. That was a mess, and impossible to foster a real dialogue between everybody involved.
This is a point, that is often forgotten. The opportunity to use technology for decision-making is often underestimated.
I agree on this paragraph, but unfortunately it’s not as easy as it sounds to involve many people into a discussion. Sometimes it’s hard to mobilize the right people.
