Introduction to the Book:

Today we will be reading a new book called Go Away! By Beth Johnson. Victor is bored until his sister’s friends come over. He wants to do everything they do. Have you ever been bored?

Reading Strategy:

As you read today, pay close attention to compound words. Identify “kn” and “ed” words.

Victor is bored reading his book and playing with his toys. He wants to join his sister and her friends dancing. He almost knocks over Sofia. Then he ate most of the popcorn and did a handstand, landing on Jaydon’s foot. Isabel locked him out of her room. After banging on the door, his mom calls him into the kitchen and leave Isabel and her friends alone. The next day they played together.

Factual Questions:

What did Victor do that made Isabel upset?
